Early years foundation stage - learning!

Playing  with cardboard tubes is just amazing- children can learn so much from such easily accessible items!  They can learn about sizes, shapes and see which things fit togther and why they don't!! 

 Don't you just love it when you finish a little's one last report before starting school &they have achieved ALL their EarlyYears goals; so proud of them! Childminders are brilliant at teaching EarlyYears; i 

Pretend Play is amazing and essential for children to learn.  Pretend Play allows them to use their imagination and enhance their roleplaying skills.  It also allows them not to become over stimulated.  

We love drawing our own Treasure Map to take on our Treasure Hunt - we followed directions and landmarks to make it easier! 

We love spotting shapes on our walks, and we loved spotting the big and little circles in this photograph! 

Lots of fun practising our Maths skills, adding and subtracting and listening to, and following very in depth very detailed instructions.   Great fun whilst learning!

This isn't our setting but its spot on - this is not mess, its learning  - its how children learn and progress!! 

We have spent lots of time recently taking more control over our pencil movements, to make sure we stay within the lines when we colour.  Slow and controlled movements - we are doing really well! 

We love discussing how apples fall to the ground, decay & go rotten, and then go back into the earth to help the apple tree grow apples again - the Circle of Life in Nature starting all over again!  Understanding The World section of the EYFS! 

We loved using our picture dominoes to make lots of different shapes and patterns.  We loved exploring the patterns we could make!
